Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Terms of Service and is enforced through upload, quote, Print Intelligence, product review, order review, support, takedown and account controls.

2. Prohibited uses

You must not use Makr3D to make, attempt to make or support:

• illegal products or products intended for illegal use;
• weapons, firearm parts, weapon accessories, ammunition components or conversion parts;
• items designed to evade locks, security controls, payment systems or law enforcement;
• counterfeit goods, deceptive branding or unauthorised replicas sold as genuine;
• hate, terrorist, violent-extremist or unlawful harassment material;
• sexual content involving minors or non-consensual imagery;
• drug manufacture equipment or illegal drug paraphernalia;
• products subject to sanctions, embargoes or export controls without written approval;
• products that create an unreasonable safety risk for users, carriers or our team;
• files designed to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or attack Makr3D systems.

3. Restricted categories needing review

The following categories are not automatically refused, but they require manual review and may require written approval, evidence, warnings, modified print settings, different materials, extra QA, customer acknowledgement or refusal:

• children's products, toys, teething products, nursery items and small-part risks;
• food-contact, drink-contact, skin-contact or hygiene claims;
• medical, dental, therapeutic, assistive, PPE or protective claims;
• electrical enclosures, chargers, battery holders, heat-exposed parts and cable fixtures;
• vehicle, aviation, marine, rail, drone, cycling or transport-related parts;
• load-bearing, structural, climbing, lifting, restraint, safety-critical or impact parts;
• parts used near heat, flame, pressure, chemicals, water ingress or outdoor UV exposure;
• regulated symbols, warning labels, credentials, badges, access passes or official marks;
• adult items, sharp objects, cosplay props, realistic replicas or public-place props;
• high-volume catalogue items where Makr3D may need stronger compliance records.

4. Product safety and compliance claims

Sellers must not claim that a product is safe, certified, child-safe, food-safe, medical, PPE-compliant, electrical-safe, load-rated, fire-rated, waterproof, vehicle-safe or suitable for a regulated use unless they have the evidence and approvals required by applicable law. Makr3D's production review is not a product certification.

5. Intellectual property and fan designs

You must have the rights needed for every file and listing. Fan, character, logo, brand, sports, game, film, celebrity and similar designs are not automatically approved. Private fulfilment may proceed on seller attestation unless a risk signal appears. Hosted catalogue, mini-store or revenue-share items may require rights evidence before being surfaced through Makr3D.

6. Export, sanctions and destination restrictions

You must not use Makr3D to export or ship products in breach of UK export controls, sanctions, embargoes, carrier rules, marketplace rules or destination laws. We may block destinations, parties, categories or orders where there is sanctions, military, dual-use, public-safety or carrier risk.

7. Platform and API misuse

You must not:

• attempt to bypass pricing, payment, review, rate limits or safety controls;
• submit malicious files, scripts, payloads or links;
• scrape, crawl or harvest data without permission;
• share API keys or use another seller's account or credentials;
• misrepresent order volume, destination, product category or compliance status;
• upload files for benchmarking, reverse engineering or competitive monitoring without approval.

8. Enforcement

We may hold, reject, cancel, hide, remove, re-quote, require evidence, restrict shipping, suspend API keys, disable integrations, limit hosted catalogue access, pause payment, notify affected parties, preserve records or close accounts. Where appropriate we may report unlawful activity, respond to rights holders, cooperate with regulators or retain records for legal and safety reasons.

9. Reporting

Report suspected policy breaches, unsafe products, IP issues or illegal use to [email protected]. Include product, seller, listing, order, file or URL references where available.
