FAQ

The questions sellers ask most, answered the way we would answer them in person.

How does quoting work?
When you upload a file we slice it for real with the production profiles our farm uses, and the material and print time from that slice become your fulfilment price. Most single-colour, single-plate files are priced automatically within minutes, so you know your production cost before you set a retail price. More: Uploads & quoting
Why does my file say the team will confirm the price?
Some files cannot be auto-priced honestly: multi-colour prints (automatic pricing cannot see purge and tool-change cost), files that already contain sliced G-code, very long prints, projects with many plates, layout problems such as an object outside the build plate, and slicer failures. A person at the production hub prices these instead. It is not a rejection: you can still order, and the order waits uncharged until the confirmed price lands. More: Uploads & quoting
When am I charged for an order?
By default, when the order is created, against your saved card. If the price is still being confirmed by the team, the order is created without a charge and charged only once the price lands; you are never charged an amount you have not seen. More: Orders & payment
What is weekly billing?
After a run of clean, successful payments your account moves to weekly billing automatically: orders are added to a single weekly bill instead of being charged one by one, production starts straight away, and the week is collected as one charge on your billing day. The open bill is always visible on your Billing page. A failed weekly payment moves you back to per-order charging until a clean run rebuilds the trust. More: Orders & payment
Where do you ship from, and do you ship worldwide?
Everything is printed, QA-checked and packed at our UK production hub in Huddersfield, powered by Yorkshire3D’s Bambu print farm, and ships worldwide with tracking. Postage is quoted automatically for most destinations; the few we cannot quote automatically are confirmed by hand.
Who owns my files, and who can see them?
You do. We take only a limited licence to manufacture your orders. Files are stored privately, are visible only to you and the production team, and never appear in anyone else’s catalogue. Buyers on your shop see photos and previews, never the file. Files are kept so you can come back to them, and deleted on your request.
What file types can I upload?
STL, 3MF, STEP, STP and OBJ, or a ZIP containing them. A 3MF exported from Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer keeps your plates, supports, orientation and settings: Faithful 3MF Mode honours them by default. More: Faithful 3MF
Do you print multi-colour?
Yes. Multi-colour prints run on AMS-equipped printers at the hub. They are the main case where the team confirms the price on your order rather than the slicer, because purge and tool-change cost cannot be priced automatically.
What materials do you print?
PLA and PETG at launch, with more materials to follow. PETG and fine or coarse nozzles (0.2mm and 0.6mm) add one working day to the dispatch estimate.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, any time before printing starts, including while the order is queued. A paid order is refunded in full as part of the cancellation. Once a plate has physically started printing, the order can no longer be cancelled; contact the team and we will sort it out case by case. More: Orders & payment
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There is no monthly fee at launch and no setup charge: you pay per order, fulfilment plus postage. The pricing page has worked examples and a margin calculator. More: Pricing
Is every order really checked by a person?
Yes. Every order is checked by the team before printing, and every print passes a QA check before packing. If a print fails QA we reprint it at no extra charge to you.
