- Is Makr3D an alternative to ShipStation?
- Not really: they solve different halves of the problem. ShipStation orchestrates orders and shipping labels for stock you already hold. Makr3D actually manufactures your 3D-printed products, then checks, packs and dispatches them. If you need production, ShipStation alone cannot provide it; if you only need labels for existing stock, you do not need Makr3D.
- Does ShipStation print or manufacture products?
- No. ShipStation is a shipping and order-orchestration platform: it connects sales channels, applies automation rules and generates carrier labels and tracking. The physical product always comes from somewhere else, which for 3D-printed goods is where a fulfilment service like Makr3D fits.
- Does Makr3D work with ShipStation?
- Yes, by design. Makr3D uses ShipStation as its outbound label engine, so labels and tracking for your parcels are generated through it, and tracking writeback is live for Shopify and ShipStation. You do not have to set anything up for this: it is part of how Makr3D dispatches.
- Do I need my own ShipStation subscription to use Makr3D?
- No. ShipStation sits inside Makr3D’s own dispatch pipeline, so sellers never need a ShipStation account or subscription of their own. Your orders reach Makr3D through Etsy or Shopify sync, CSV import, manual entry or the API, and dispatch happens from there.
- Can Makr3D pull orders in from my ShipStation account?
- Not yet. Today the live order routes into Makr3D are native Etsy and Shopify sync, CSV import, manual entry and the public API. If your channels feed ShipStation today, a CSV export or the API covers the same orders in the meantime.
